Details
Formerly a blockless bass, this complete rebuild was performed by Lansing, Michigan luthier and bassist Ed Fedewa. Large and dark tone from a visually-striking bass of manageable size. Fedewa’s restoration of the 19th century spruce top, which has received new purfling and a deep red/brown varnish, is meticulous. A neck block was added and the neck reset with a 40mm overstand. The bass has a new fingerboard, all new braces and cleats, a new bass bar, and artful patches on the flat maple back. Bass has an Eb neck.
